A Prayer for the Peace of the Lord

Hello dear friends, thank you for joining me in this edition of “Take It In.” I hope you all are safe, healthy, and well. It seems like every time we join together, more strife has been added to our society. Regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum, we all can see this- our nation is in dire straits. We need the Lord. So today, I want to offer something a little different from my usual content. I want to offer up a prayer. Please join me in praying for the love, grace, goodness, and peace of our great God and Savior to shine in our country in these dark days.

Dear Precious Lord,

Our nation is in turmoil. Strife, division, corruption, and evil are running rampant. Anxiety, fear, and anger are ruling so many hearts and minds. This does not come you, Lord. This is the desire and work of our enemy. You are infinitely greater, God. Cast out this darkness and bring forth your light. Bring unity to where there is division. Bring calm to where there is fear and worry. Bring peace to where there is conflict. Bring love to where there is hate. May we, your people, be instruments of your goodwill. Remove sin from own lives so we may love and live as you command us to. May we not just talk about you, Jesus, may we be you. Give us sound minds and hearts full of love and understanding to bring beauty and goodness into this environment of hate and ugly. May the conflicts going on between man and woman, black and white, rich and poor be resolved by the peace and love that only comes from you. We love you, Lord, and we thank you for calling us your own. It is in the name of our precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

As always, like, comment, and subscribe for more content. I look forward to joining you all again very soon. I love you, friends.

“Pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our consciences, but shouts in our pains. It is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world.”

― C.S. Lewis
